I am a mother to a 4 year old daughter and a 2 year old son. Honestly, they are the reason that I started to really become interested in photography. I wanted to capture every tiny detail about them. Because those details do not stay the same. They are forever changing.

I recently relocated to Florida from San Diego. During my time in San Diego, I worked for a very busy newborn photography business doing high volume newborn sessions weekly.. Basically, it was my 9-5. This job was such a blessing because I was trained by professional newborn photographers in newborn posing, lighting and safety and then I was able to practice and improve my skill by doing so many sessions per week. Most newborn photographers starting a business do not have the opportunity to practice their skill at the volume that I was able to or have the opportunity to work under professional mentors. I was able to get constant critiquing and learn every tiny detail to perfect each newborn image. From perfect hand placement in posing, to keeping baby calm, I have lots of experience to get you beautiful images of your baby. I believe this gives me a leg up over many other newborn photographers.

I love newborn photography because I just love babies. Simple as that. I always tell people that I have the best job in the world because I snuggle and decorate babies. #dreamjob. I think being a mother factors into my love for newborn sessions. I can totally relate to moms. Ive been there. Ive experienced childbirth twice and plan on doing it again. I know what it's like right afterwards ( the parts they don't tell you about when your pregnant) I remember how painful breastfeeding can be, not to mention how much work is. I remember what it's like to be up all night with a new baby. This gives moms and I a special connection and a ticket to easy conversation and even friendship during the session. I love coming to your home to photograph a session because I know it's easier for you to not have to gather a million things required to leave the house with a new baby on top of finding the energy to make yourself presentable all before getting out the door. Photographing in your home allows the whole experience to be much more relaxing, for you, for the baby and even for me.
